The Nelson Inn in Padbury Lane is offering 5 local people the chance to grow their own produce on an adjoining field.

The plots will be 15 metres square and are available on a first come,first served basis.

It is believed they are the first pub in the country to offer such an initiative. info

Burntwood Town Councillors are due to meet to decide how to spend £195,000 they never knew they had.

The money was allocated by housing developers under Section 106 agreements and £129,000 of the total must be spent this year or it must be paid back.

The windfall will be spent on community and social projects.

Pupils from Chasetown Specialist Sports College will be performing Guys & Dolls from March 10-13. The students have been involved in every aspect of the production,from acting,singing and dancing to designing the programme and tickets.
